Globalism

H-oops! What did you say? In the world of sports the National Basketball Association has sixty-two foreign born players from thirty-three countries. The Philadelphia team's polyglot roster includes players from seven  countries. It must make for an interesting locker room. But the issue under discussion is the verbal cursing during games  - often aimed at the referee who has no idea he is a target. It reminds one of the line from that Irish song "They speak a language that the strangers do not know." Growing up, we had several Greek families on the block. My Greek playmates taught me their curse words phonetically which I still can remember but such is useless when ordering in a Greek restaurant.
