Mayor Michael Bloomberg's mother passed away last week at age 102. It is said she was alert and active til the end. The actress Kitty Carlisle who was married to Moss Hart lived to be 96. In a conversation with her the Mayor imparted his mother's advice on longevity: "Never eat anything that tastes good." and "When you lean over to pick something up, see if there is anything else you can do while you're down there."
